International Gaming License
Operators serving Indian players generally hold an approval issued by an overseas gaming authority rather than by an Indian regulator. That approval typically covers operations within the issuing authority’s own jurisdiction and specific activity types, not automatic permission everywhere the site can be reached.
Verification means three things: locating the exact licence number displayed on the site, entering that number into the regulator’s own public register, and confirming the licence is currently active rather than expired, suspended or restricted. Regulatory standards vary widely between jurisdictions, so the identity of the issuing authority matters as much as the existence of a number. A genuine foreign licence still does not resolve India’s national position on online money games.
